Save money on your flight and still get a better seat

One of the hard realities of flying is that 85% of individuals pay more than they should. This is a scary number but the fact of the matter is it’s true and the number is only going higher. One thing you have to know is that patience is a virtue in regards to finding cheap airline tickets.

One way that you can save cash on your flight and get a better seat is by booking the best seat you can find at least 30 days in advance. From here you will check the online seating chart every couple of days to see if you might find a better seat than the one you are actually sitting in. Something you must understand is that the closer you are to the front of the plane the more likely you will be able to get a first class ticket for a big discount. The reason why you must get closer to the front of the plane is for a couple reasons, the seats directly behind first class (bulkhead) has the most legroom and is where most people prefer to be. Another reason why you want to get closer to the front of the airplane is because flight attendants can move individuals around once on a plane in order to fit disabled individuals and people with kids and being that this is the biggest seating area of the aircraft you will probably be asked if you could graciously move up to first class in order to accommodate the others. The fantastic thing now is that you have a great seat for a very low price.

The final thing you will want to do is call the airline every couple days within 2 weeks from the flight date so that you can see if there are any better seats you can change to or if there’s an affordable first class seat. Something you must understand is going to the gate with no changes doesn’t mean you will not get a better seat, you still have a chance of getting a nicer seat. All you have to do now is ask the people at the counter what seats they have available to switch to and what it would cost you to change. Something you have to remember here is that you need to always show a frequent flyer number in order to receive the best price. The nice thing about frequent flyer numbers is they don’t cost money and you don’t have to fly that much in order to receive one and eventually receive extremely cheap airline tickets.
